As part of Purdue’s policy on artificial intelligence (AI), a new learning curriculum will be assigned for faculty and staff on Oct. 3.
The goal of the training is to provide introductory knowledge to users in the proper use of AI in their university roles. All users who are assigned to the training will receive an email notification from SuccessFactors Learning Management System. Users will have 30 days to complete the training.
The first course as part of this initiative is Foundational Literacy in AI: Ethics, which provides learners with an understanding of the ethical dimensions of artificial intelligence. Participants will explore core ethical AI principles such as increasing fairness, mitigating bias, and protecting privacy. By examining these issues, learners will gain the tools to engage thoughtfully with AI systems and contribute to ethical practices within their respective disciplines.
