Isilon home directories will be unavailable during winter break

As part of Purdue’s enterprise network storage upgrade from Isilon to Qumulo, Isilon home directories and West Lafayette and Indianapolis computer labs will be unavailable starting at 8:00 a.m. ET, Saturday, Dec. 26, through 6:00 a.m. ET, Monday, Jan. 4.

Services impacted by the migration include:

  • Career Account Home Directory (frequently mapped as W: drive on Purdue IT managed computers)
  • Personal Webspace (https://web.ics.purdue.edu/~alias)
  • Purdue IT Computer Labs
  • Software Remote / AppsAnywhere
There is no action required of you at this time. If students, faculty and staff need access to any files during winter break, they are encouraged to copy the files to another location before Dec. 26. No further impact is expected.
