On June 9, 2025, Purdue IT will begin implementing a global display name change. This change will provide improved functionality with non-windows host authentication requirements in addition to providing standardization across all campuses and locations in the Purdue System (West Lafayette, Indianapolis, Purdue Fort Wayne, Purdue Northwest and Purdue Global).

The display names order at every campus will follow the format of: First Name Middle Name/Initial Last Name (Jane R Doe or Jane Ray Doe) or First Name Last Name (Jane Doe) if the middle name is not currently in active directory.
