During the 2025-26 academic year, Purdue IT plans to migrate Purdue Fort Wayne and Purdue Northwest users to the single Purdue University System Microsoft 365 tenant. This change will allow easier file sharing and communication among Purdue University West Lafayette, Purdue Fort Wayne and Purdue Northwest users using the Microsoft 365 suite.

No action is required at this time. Purdue IT will communicate campus-specific updates to users as they become available.

For Purdue Fort Wayne Users: Your @PFW.EDU email address will not be changing. Faculty and staff may want to take this summer to streamline the transition. For example, they can review documents and files stored in their Microsoft account and delete any items that they no longer need or don’t wish to transfer.

For Purdue Northwest Users: Email migration will only impact PNW students. Note that @PNW.EDU email address will not be changing. There are a few steps faculty and staff may want to take this summer to streamline the transition before the 2025-26 academic year. For example, you can review documents and files stored in your PNW Google Drive and delete any items that you no longer need or don’t wish to transfer. (If you do not use Google Drive to store your data, or other Google apps, you can disregard.)
