Purdue Fort Wayne username changes coming soon

In June 2024 Purdue IT will be changing usernames for approximately 16,000 Purdue Fort Wayne constituents as follows:

  • Students and faculty will have their Purdue system career account username renamed to match their PFW username.
  • Students whose primary campus is not PFW will have their PFW username renamed to match their Purdue system career account username.
  • Staff will have their PFW username renamed to match their Purdue system career account username.
  • No change will be made for faculty and staff whose usernames are already the same.
Email communications will be sent to the affected individuals starting Wednesday, April 24, and will continue through June.

Usernames are being changed to allow for seamless access to system-wide IT resources and to allow easier implementation of system-wide IT initiatives. Every effort has been made to keep impact to a minimum but access to resources will change as a result of the username change. For more information review our FAQ.
