Computer Lab Requests

All events submitted through UniTime, via the Computer Lab Request Form, or via email to itlabs@purdue.edu are considered requests only.  It is the responsibility of the requestor to verify that the event has been accepted and scheduled.  A confirmation e-mail is generated for all events, providing reservation information on the status of the event.  Please submit requests at least a full business day in advance.

Effective for the Spring 2026 semester, if you need a computer lab outside regular hours (Lab and Service Desk Hours), you must look for a lab option in the Stanley Coulter (SC) building or agree to pay fees for building and computer lab access.
Learning Spaces computer labs in SC:  SC 179, SC 189, SC 231, SC 277, SC 289, and SC G46.

  • Computer lab reservation requests will be approved on a first come, first served basis.
    • Weekday requests (Monday-Friday) should be submitted at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Please note that course requirements will take precedence.
    • Room requests can be initially approved and later canceled if a course needs the space for an exam or other usage.
  • All groups must also agree to adhere to Learning Spaces computer lab policies: no food, only drinks with lids, and the group will not unplug or move equipment or peripherals.
    • Violations of Learning Spaces computer lab policies will result in cancellation of reservations and denial of future requests.

If there is no available space in one of the six SC computer labs, you must pick another date and time or agree to pay fees for a work order to provide building and computer lab access at another location.  These services are provided by Building Services.
Visit the Building Services webpage or call 765-494-8000 for additional contact information and current rates.

  • The Learning Spaces team will set up a Work Order, including billing account information, and send the request to Building Services to be scheduled.
    • The Student Organization is responsible for ensuring their account remains in good standing with BOSO for these charges.
  • For weekend requests outside of Stanley Coulter, we request at least a two week notice prior to your event so that it can be properly scheduled with any necessary approvals.
    • Any special arrangements for events with less than two business days’ notice will be denied.
  • If you are requesting a change for an event on the weekend, the deadline to make any requests or changes is noon on the Wednesday prior to your event.
    • Requests or modifications received after noon on Wednesday will be rejected as adequate time is required to modify the special arrangements made.
  • If you need to cancel or modify your event, we require at least a 24-hour notice for weekday events and no later than noon Wednesday for weekend events.
